PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative building material excellent in surface smoothness, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The decorative building material 1 is successively equipped with a woody board (plywood, particle board, oriented strand board or the like) 2, a bonding layer 3 and a crystallized polyester layer (polyethylene terephthalate film or the like) 4. The manufacturing method of the decorative building material is composed of a process for coating the surface of the woody board with an adhesive composition, a process for arranging a film comprising a polyester on the surface of the coating film of the adhesive composition to obtain a composite and a process for bonding the composite under heating and pressure.
