PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of an article and the injury of an instrument panel body by providing a control section to drive a driving means so as to receive a glove box body in a receiving section only while the opening section of the glove box body is shut by a covering member. CONSTITUTION:When a glove box body 2 is received in the receiving section 3 of an instrument panel body 1, a covering member 30 is closed. A detecting switch 36 is closed when the covering member 30 is shut, and in this state, a main switch is closed toward the side of receiving operation. On account of an acting state where a detecting switch 36 detects the closed state of the covering member 30, a motor 7 is driven in a direction reverse to a previous one by a control section for rotating a ball screw shaft 10 to move a ball nut 17 backward. The glove box body 2 pivotally mounted on a supporting arm 15 is moved backward by the movement of a connecting plate 16 with its front side rotated upward centering an axial supporting part between the supporting arm 15 and the glove box body 2, and received in the receiving sectional 3 to get into a closed state. |
