PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell component, particularly a distributor of a gaseous reactant providing sufficient ductility, elasticity, conductivity, and suitable corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: In a fuel cell 10 generating electrical energy, at least one conductive gas distributor 14 is a reticulated three dimensional structure 40 including a first ductile basic skeleton 46 made of metal or a metal alloy used under compression in its elastic region and a conductive upper layer 42 made of corrosive resistant metal or alloy. Such a structure is ductile and elastic by properties of the basic skeleton 46, and the structure can be easily formed in a cell chamber by compression. At the same time, the upper layer 42 provides corrosion resistance and by this, service life of the cell 10 is extended. |
