PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking dividing device for a connecting rod whereby necessity of a notch for machine work is eliminated, and the notch is deepened, a breaking dividing property of a large end part is improved, so as to easily surely break divide the connecting rod without damaging it. SOLUTION: In a device 10 breaking dividing a connecting rod in a location where previously a forging defect is left as a notch 5 in a breaking division expected location of a large end part 2, the device comprises a positioning fixed shaft 14 of semicircular section fitted to a lower side half of a hole 2a in the big end part 2, clamp bolts 15, 16 clamping an end face and lower face in a lower side of the big end part 2, and a pressing member 17 having a pin 18 fitted to a hole 3a of a small end part 3 are provided and by this pressing member 17, the small end part 13 is pressed so as to break divide the connecting rod by bending stress in a location of the notch 5. |
