PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent black masks from being viewed at the time of expressing black by using the black masks in an organic EL(electroluminescence) display device. SOLUTION: Three first to third EL elements 18, 19, 20 are arranged in one pixel of the orgainc EL display device in a state in which they are made to be away from each other. Moreover, surroundings of respective light emission areas of the first to third EL elements 18, 19, 20 are covered with a black mask 25. The width of the black mask 25 which is to be arranged among respective light emission areas can be made narrow by arranging the plural light emission areas in one pixel (p) while making them to be away from each other. Consequently, the line width of the black mask 25 can be made a thin width which can not be viewed by a human being from a prescribed distance, That is, even when a display device is made a display device in which black masks 25 are used without using filters absorbing a part of reflected light in order to express black, the display is not disturbed by the black masks 25.
