<p>Safe substances having an effect of promoting transmucosal absorption. Transmucosal sorbefacients capable of ensuring the transmucosal absorption of drugs, which can be hardly absorbed via the digestive tract, and achieve sufficient absorbability while little damaging the mucosa. Transmucosal sorbefacients characterized by comprising a polyvalent unsaturated fatty acid and a polymer gel; and medicinal preparations wherein a polyvalent unsaturated fatty acid and a drug are blended with a polymer gel or enclosed therein. The above polyvalent unsaturated fatty acid means eicosapentaenoic acid and/or docosahexaenoic acid. As the above drug, use may be made of one which is scarcely absorbed via the digestive tract (for example, insulin), namely, one which cannot be processed into a medicinal preparation for oral administration because of its poor absorbability via the digestive tract.</p> |
