A head unit of a paste dispenser for applying paste to a substrate is provided to reduce number of constitutional elements to be elevated by Z-axis driver, and rapidly control clearance between nozzles and the substrate by fabricating the paste dispenser to apply the paste to the substrate in desired patterns while varying relative positions between the substrate and the nozzles. The paste dispenser equipped with a head unit(100) comprises: an application head(110) equipped with nozzle(111); Z-axis driver(120) that elevates the head in Z-axis direction to adjust vertical position of the nozzle; a position sensor(130) for determining the vertical position of the nozzle; a distance sensor(140) that is fixed in a location without vertical movement of the Z-axis driver and measures distance to a substrate according to variation of substrate position; and Z-axis control part(150) that consists of a gap correction part(151) which corrects gap between the nozzle and the substrate before applying a paste, and a gap compensation part(152) which compensates the gap to a setup value during application of the paste. |
