A helmet (1) consists of a deformable inner cap (7) covered by a series of outer rigid plates (9a, 9c, 9d) attached to a layer of a supple material. The plates are distributed so that the cover the forehead, occiput and side of the head. The supple material can be in the form of a bonnet (8) over the cap, with the plates fitted into compartments in it, and the helmet can have a textile layer covering the plates. |
