PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable compressor stably operable over a long period by preventing failure of shrinkage fit of a stator and failure of a gap between the stator and a rotor while restraining vibration and noise even if carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant. SOLUTION: This compressor 10 is constituted so that a compression element 18 and a motor-driven element 14 for driving the compression element 18 are stored in a sealed vessel 12, and the introduced refrigerant is compressed by the compression element 18, and the compressed refrigerant is delivered in the sealed vessel 12, or the refrigerant delivered in the sealed vessel 12 is also compressed by the compression element 18, and is delivered outside the sealed vessel 12; and solves the problem by fixing the motor-driven element 14 inside an installed motor-driven element fixing part 1 by installing the motor-driven element fixing part 1 having an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the sealed vessel 12 and having an inner diameter capable of fixing the motor-driven element 14 inside, in a supporting fixing member 54 for supporting and fixing the compression element 18 in the sealed vessel 12.
