PURPOSE:To obtain the titled biaxially oriented film having excellent slipperiness and antistaticity, and suitable for capacitor, electrophotography, etc., by coating a polyester film with a coating agent containing a vinyl resin containing (meth) acrylic acid salt, and drawing the coated film. CONSTITUTION:(A) At least one surface of a film of a polyester (e.g. a polymer containing ethylene terephthalate unit accounting for >=80mol% of the constituent components) is coated with (B) a vinyl resin copolymerized with >=30mol% (meth)acrylic acid (salt) (e.g. alkali metal salt) and having a molecular weight of preferably 2,000-1,000,000 in the form of an aqueous dispersion or solution containing a dispersant (e.g. a water-soluble acrylic resin), a binder, etc. The coated film is drawn optionally after drying the coating layer, and heat-treated to obtain the objective film having a coating layer preferably containing 3-70wt% component B and having a thickness of 0.01-1mum. |
