OXATOMIDE PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxatomide pharmaceutical preparation having a slight fluctuation in absorption coefficient and high absorbability and capable of stably developing effects of oxatomide by formulating the oxatomide with specific vitamins. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical preparation is obtained by formulating (A) oxatomide with (B) a tocopherol. The ingredient B in an amount of 1-20 times expressed in terms of weight ratio and based on the ingredient A is formulated in the above pharmaceutical preparation. All the homologs of the tocopherol are included in the ingredient B and may be derived from a natural product or a substance prepared by chemical synthesis may be used. When pharmacodynamic effects of the ingredient B itself are expected in the pharmaceutical preparation,α-tocopherol or a tocopherol mixture consisting essentially of theα-tocopherol is advantageously used. In the above pharmaceutical preparation,δ-tocopherol is preferred in order to dissolve the ingredient A, reduce the fluctuation in the expected absorption coefficient of the ingredient A and raise the absorbability. The dosage form of the pharmaceutical preparation is preferably a capsule.
