<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording end detecting device capable of precisely seeking out a next recording start position even in a video tape over-recorded many times. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a memory circuit 15 renewal storing the recording end data when recording of information on a tape 8 is ended and a control signal recording/detecting circuit 13 recording/detecting a control signal, and a system controller 10 records the dummy data containing a tape number as the control signal while the recording of the information on the tape 8 is continued, and records the recording end data containing the tape number when the recording of the information on the tape 8 is stopped. Further, when the recording end position of the information recorded on the tape 8 is detected, the recording end data are read in from the memory circuit 15, and the tape 8 is made a fast forward mode, and the data recorded in the control signal detected by the control signal recording/detecting circuit 13 are compared with the recording end data, and when both data coincide with each other, the fast forward mode is stopped.</p> |
