AIR INTAKE FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

The air intake for motor vehicles is intended in particular for cooling the powerful motors of sports cars. It is of a suitable form and dimensions ensuring improvement of the aerodynamic properties and reducing the overall dimensions of the motor vehicles. It comprises at least one deflector (1) which is provided with one or several walls (5, 6, 9) suitable for conveying air through an opening (4) made in the body of the motor vehicle (2). The deflector (1) is hinged to at least one member (7) of the motor vehicle (2) to be rotated by at least one motor (19) around an axis (3) so as to modify the size of the opening (4). The angle between the rotation axis (3) of the deflector (1) and the vertical symmetry plane of the motor vehicle (2) is not greater than 45 degrees.
