PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven door mirror device capable of reducing the friction between a case and a base and allowing easy mounting of a rotary member such as final gear and of a clutch etc. SOLUTION: A retaining rod 124 is fitted in a fit-in hole 122 which is open in a clutch placing part 101 when clutch springs 94 and a worm wheel 84 are installed, and the clutch springs 94 in whose engaging recess 102 a shaft side engagement part 96 is fitted have resilient parts 98 which are retained by the retaining rod 124. In this condition, the resilient part 98 and a gear side engagement part 100 are positioned inside the internal surface of the worm wheel 84, so that no interference is made by the resilient part 98 and the gear side engagement part 100 when the worm wheel 84 is to be installed. When the retaining rod 124 is removed in the condition that the worm wheel 84 is in place, the clutch springs 94 displace the gear side engagement part 100 with their energizing forces to cause intrusion into the engaging recess 104.
