PURPOSE:To efficiently form a carrier capable of homogeneously distributing microorganisms for restoring soil, excellent in environmental pollution resistance, useful for restoring the soil, etc., and used for supporting the microorganisms in the soil by introducing a liquid composition for forming the microorganism- supporting carrier into soil. CONSTITUTION:A liquid composition used for forming a microorganism- supporting carrier and comprising a carrier-forming raw material such as mannan and water or a liquid medium consisting mainly of the water, the carrier comprising a biodegradable porous material 13 having many fine pores, is introduced into a desired place of soil 12 to form a carrier for supporting microorganisms 14 such as bacteria which belong to the genus Pseudomonas in soil 12. The composition is preferably introduced into a polluted region in the soil 12 to form the carrier in the polluted region, thus making the microorganisms 14 for removing pollutants supported to restore the soil. |
