<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte for a secondary battery excellent in discharge load characteristics, as well as in high temperature storage characteristics, and cycle characteristics, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte mainly comprising an electrolyte and a nonaqueous solvent for dissolving the electrolyte contains at least one kind of cyclic disulfonylimide salts represented by general formula (1) and moreover monofluorophosphate and/or difluorophosphate. In the formula, R is a 1-12C alkylene group which may be substituted with an alkyl group, and the alkyl group or the alkylene group may be substituted with a fluorine atom.
