PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing timing control device, in which relative rotation between a housing member and a rotor member can be easily and securely locked to a prescribed position in the middle between the maximum advance position and the maximum delay position, and in which relative rotation angles of the housing member and the rotor member can be enlarged. SOLUTION: This valve opening/closing timing control device 1 is composed of a first relative rotation regulating mechanism B1 having a first regulating groove 26a, formed on an inner rotor 20, and with which a first lock plate 61 provided on an outer rotor 30 is engaged, so that relative rotation of the inner rotor 20 and the outer rotor 30 from the start position to the delay side is allowed, and that relative rotation from a start position to the advance side is regulated, and a second relative rotation regulating mechanism B2, formed on the inner rotor 2, and with which a second lock plate 63 provided on the outer rotor 30 is engaged, so that relative rotation from the start position to the advance side is allowed, and that relative rotation from the start position to the delay side is regulated. The first lock plate 61 and the second lock plate 63 are thus disposed on a single retraction groove 31a in the outer rotor 30 to be capable of advancing and retracting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
