The invention concerns an apparatus (12) for imaging at least one object, the apparatus (12) comprising: - a device (14) adapted to achieve multi-focal microscopy on the at least one object comprising: - a light unit (20) adapted to emit light, and - a first optical system (22) adapted to propagate the emitted light towards the at least one object, the first optical system (22) producing a first point spread function in a plane perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the light, the first point spread function being symmetrical with relation to a central point, - a second optical system (16) adapted to modify the first point spread function, the point spread function of both optical systems combined producing a second point spread function in the plane perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the light, the second point spread function being asymmetrical with relation to the central point. |
