PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a format in a mode acknowledged anew with regard to RLC PDU, required for replacing the length indicator of a RLC header by a segmentation indicator, by deleting the function of concatenation, with regard to a standard release 7 of broadband code division multiple access (WCDMA(R)).SOLUTION: A segmentation indicator allows for reuse of a format in acknowledgement mode existing for RLC PDU. A data unit according to a first transmission format is divided into a data unit according to a second transmission format. A segmentation indicator of 1 bit to be inserted into the header of a data unit according to the second transmission format indicates 112 whether or not the data unit according to the first transmission format ends at the data unit according to the second transmission format.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
