The present invention reduces friction of a sliding surface with fluid lubrication while preventing leakage of sealed fluid and penetration of dust to the sliding surface during steady operation. The invention is characterized in that: on the sliding surface of at least one of a pair of sliding parts (4, 7), dynamic pressure-generating grooves (10) are provided so as to be separated from and discontinuous with the sealed fluid-side and the leakage-side by the land sections (R) of the two sliding surfaces; and multiple independently shaped minute recesses (11) are provided on the sliding surface (IS) between the dynamic pressure-generating grooves (10) and the leakage-side at positions that are separated from the dynamic pressure-generating grooves in the radial direction. |
