PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk chucking apparatus capable of reliably removing a disk without sticking to a clamper for remaining when releasing a sandwich state to the disk retained while being sandwiched between a disk holding disk and the clamper. SOLUTION: The disk D placed on the disk holding disk 3 provided at a disk mounting section 2 is clamped by the clamper 9. When unchucking operation is started, a door section 10 is rotated with a second support shaft 7 as a core first, the clamper 9 is moved upward, and a clamp holder plate 13 is rotated at a speed slower than the movement speed of the door section 10. As a result, the disk D is pushed by a contact piece 16c for disk removal provided on a disk removal plate 16 and a sticking disk is forcedly removed.
