ON-LINE DOCUMENT READ METHOD, DOCUMENT PROCESSING UNIT AND STORAGE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with many kinds of diversified input forms without being limited by a facsimile entry when reading documents on line and to execute protocol free recognition processing. SOLUTION: A document processing unit is provided with a reception protocol termination section 11 for each protocol type, a reception buffer 12 that tentatively stores received information terminated by the reception protocol termination section 11, a recognition control section 13 that identifies the protocol type and polls the reception buffer, a recognition section 14 that applies recognition processing to the received information polled by the recognition control section 13 independently of a protocol, and a transmission buffer 15 that tentatively stores the processing result by the recognition section 14 for the transmission of a collection machine.
