PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust produced by a sliding part from being splashed. SOLUTION: This dust prevention device 1 is mounted to a block 11 to be slid and moved over to a rail 12, and is composed of a cover body 3, a fan 5, and of a filter 7. The cover body 3 has an opening part 31 to be mounted to a running body, and has arm parts 32 formed up at both the sides of the opening part 31 in such a way that a sliding part between the rail 12 and the block 11 will be covered. The fan 5 is mounted to a base part 33 with which both the arms 33 are connected by way of the filter 7, and the arm parts 32 and the base part 33 are formed up in a hollow shape so as to be formed into a suction passage 37.
