<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight module which can eliminate a conventional light pillar phenomenon and raise light uniformity and optical energy. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight module is composed of a light guide plate having an incident surface, an emitting surface neighboring the incident surface, and a reflection surface facing the emitting surface, and a light source including a lighting surface which faces the emitting surface. Furthermore, the module has a reflection cover which is of an approximate arc shape facing the incident surface and is positioned on both sides of the light source, and a transparent/reflecting film positioned on the incident surface facing the lighting surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
