PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens shutter mechanism which is simple in structure and small-sized and can surely shield light from the surroundings of a shutter. SOLUTION: The lens shutter mechanism is equipped with a shutter which opens and closes an aperture for photography, between front and rear support frames having an opening for photographing, a shutter turns around the optical axis with drive ring which drives the shutter, a diaphragm which varies the aperture diameter of the aperture for photography separately from the shutter, and a diaphragm drive ring which turns around the optical axis to drive the diaphragm between front and rear support frames which are provided axially at an interval, and the shutter driving ring and diaphragm driving ring are arranged at radially different positions, an inward flange which projects inwardly in radial direction is provided to the ring positioned on the radially outward side, and an outward flange is provided which engages with the ring positioned on the radially inward side while axially overlaps with the inward flange and also projects outward in radial direction.
