PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke detector and sensor composed so that smoke flowing into a smoke detecting and sensing chamber can be easily guided to a smoke sensing area. SOLUTION: This smoke sensor for detecting smoke is composed by forming a light emitting part 2 in a smoke detecting and sensing chamber A circumferentially formed with a plurality of labyrinth barriers 4, and forming a light receiving part 3 at a position where the rays of light from the light emitting part 2 are not directly received to compose a smoke sensing area B, and making the light receiving part 3 receive scattered rays of light due to smoke flowing from a gap between the adjacent labyrinth barriers 4 to the smoke sensing region B. A narrow area C interposed between the light emitting part 2 and the light receiving part 3 excluding the smoke sensing area B is formed in the smoke detecting and sensing chamber A, and a first guidance barrier 6a for guiding smoke flowing from a narrow area C to the smoke sensing area B is formed at the opposite side of the narrow area C at the top end of the light receiving part 3.
