PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gesture determination device capable of suppressing the deterioration of gesture recognition accuracy due to an external factor when a gesture has been performed.SOLUTION: A gesture determination device 1 is generally configured by including a background image changeover section 12 for changing over the first background image 120 that is the background image including at least a part of a steering 50 of a vehicle 5 required in the determination of a gesture, is used till a predetermined condition is satisfied, and does not include the hands of an operator into the second background image 121 that is to be used after the predetermined condition is satisfied and includes the hands of the operator gripping the steering 50 as indicated in Fig. 1(a) and Fig. 1(b).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
