PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of suppressing the occurrence of unwiped ink having adhered to a recording head.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device comprises: a recording head 10; a wiper blade 20 for cleaning an ink discharge surface 17 of the recording head 10; and a control part 20. The control part pushes the wiper blade 20 onto the ink discharge surface 17 thereby to wipe out the ink on the ink discharge surface 17. The ink discharge surface 17 includes a first region A1, and a second region A2 adjacent to one end of the first region A1. The first region A1 includes a nozzle formation region 12 for forming a nozzle 11 to discharge ink Nf, and a plane region having the nozzle 11 unformed. The width L2 of the first region A1 is smaller than the width L1 of the second region. The width L2 of the first region A1 and the width L1 of the second region A2 individually indicate the widths along the direction perpendicular to a forward path direction D1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
