<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a terminal and a multi-point connection device without affecting on a displayed video by suspending encoding a video image not displayed on any reception terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A remote communication terminal device 10 includes: a capability report unit 306 for reporting to a relay device 30 the receivable resolution of a video data; a resolution determination unit 303 for determining the resolution of a video data encoding area; and an encoding unit 304 for compressing the video data area of the determined resolution. The relay device 30 includes a resolution report unit 315 for reporting, to the remote communication terminal device acting as a video data transmission terminal, resolution report information based on each receivable resolution reported from each capability notification unit. Based on the resolution report information reported from the resolution report unit, the resolution determination unit determines the resolution of the encoding area in such a manner that a video data area not to be displayed on the entire remote communication terminal devices, acting as video data reception terminals, becomes a non-encoding area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
