An airborne ballistic vest according to the present invention comprises a front part, side parts (3), a back part (2) and at least one ballistic insert plate inserted in the front part, wherein in that the vest (1) also comprises a vest release unit (5-10), said vest release unit (5-10) further comprising a release grip element (5) and an vest securing arrangement (6-10), so that when said release grip element (5) is released, said vest securing arrangement (6-10) functions together with said release grip element (5) and releases the vest; and that the vest (1) is also equipped with a ballistic insert plate protector inserted on the back part (2), so that the back part (2) of the vest having the ballistic insert plate protector inserted inside can be replaced with a light back module (4), said light back module (4) being designed to function together with the vest release unit (5-10). |
