PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for press-forming a steel sheet, by which the steel sheet is press-formed in a warm temperature region while inhibiting generation of galling, increase in running cost, and the like. SOLUTION: In the method for press-forming a steel sheet, when heating a steel sheet for press-forming the steel sheet in the warm temperature region, a boron nitride powder is applied to the surface of the steel sheet before heating the steel sheet.
