PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure blood pressure at a balloon indwelling position through a general transcutaneous inserting operation alone and to secure a second lumen even during use. SOLUTION: This balloon catheter comprises a connector 7 having a gas supply port, a hollow catheter tube 1 connected to the connector 7 at one end, a balloon 4 having one end connected to the other end of the catheter tube 1, and a hollow central tube 1 penetrating the catheter tube 1 and the balloon 4 and having one end connected to the one end of the balloon 4. A pressure detecting element 11 which can measure ambient pressures is disposed on the outer surface of an end chip 8 connecting the balloon 4 to the central tube 1, and a coupling means 16 is provided for guiding output signals from the pressure detecting element 11 to the outside and for transmitting them to an external device. |
