PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rattling between components and to prevent abnormal noise without a noise absorbing material while obtaining workability. SOLUTION: A sliding constant velocity universal joint includes an outer ring 10 in which a plurality of linear ball grooves 12 are formed in a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 14, an inner ring 20 in which a plurality of linear track grooves 22 are formed in a cylindrical outer peripheral surface 24, a plurality of balls 30 disposed between the track groove 12 of the outer ring 10 and the track groove 22 of the inner ring 20 for transmitting a torque, and a cage 40 disposed between the cylindrical inner peripheral surface 14 of the outer ring 10 and the spherical outer peripheral surface 24 of the inner ring 20 for storing the ball 30. In the sliding constant velocity universal joint having an internal clearance between the members, a PCD clearance is -0.02 to +0.3 mm, a clearance between the cylindrical inner peripheral surface 14 of the outer ring 10 and an outer peripheral surface 42 of the cage 40 is +0.01 to +0.3 mm, a clearance between a spherical outer peripheral surface 24 of the inner ring 20 and an inner peripheral surface 44 of the cage 40 is +0.01 to +0.3 mm, and a pocket clearance of the cage 40 is -0.050 to 0 mm.
