The drive unit has a drive axle (2a) with two impellers propelled by individual drives and an axle housing (2). The individual drives in each case have a drive motor with motor axles (5a,6a) and a shifted gear. The motor axles of the drive motors are arranged in a non-parallel angle, particularly in a right angle to the drive axle. The axle housing has bearing positions (17,18) for supporting a lifting device.
