<p>The clamp for mounting a tool, e.g. a drill, on a shaft (1) comprises a sleeve (2) which is mounted on the shaft, with an annular groove (3) between them. A spring clip (9) fits into a second groove (4) in the outer surface of the sleeve and has inwardly-bent hooks (12) which fit through bores (5) in the sleeve into the internal groove. Ball bearings (10) are inserted through another bore (6) in the outer surface of the sleeve and lodge in recesses (11) so that they press against the ends of the hooks and lock the clip in position.</p> |
