PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict an engine rotation change resulting from the drive torque change of a dynamo caused by a charging current change, by grasping a charging characteristic change due to the internal temperature of a battery.SOLUTION: If the present engine start is a restart, the peak current value AP of a battery and a value obtained by multiplying a peak current reference value Map and a specific coefficient K are compared (S12), and a determination is made whether the internal temperature of the battery is at a high level or not. If A≤K×Map, it is determined that the battery has not reached the high temperature level and an adjustment is made so that the power generated voltage of an alternator has a HIGH voltage used for regular operation (S9). Conversely, if A>K×Map, it is determined that the battery has reached a high temperature, and an adjustment is made so that the power generated voltage of the alternator has a LOW voltage, which is lower than the voltage used for the regular operation (S13). Thereby, an engine rotation change due to a sudden increase in power generation load at the engine start can be restricted. |
