PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a terminal device to normally transmit data to a token network even when the terminal device is connected to an Ethernet network through a gateway device.SOLUTION: A relay processing unit 12 transfers a token received from a token network NW1, to a terminal device 2. In response thereto, the relay processing unit 12 receives a response composed of data or a token returned from the terminal device, to transmit to a node 1 which becomes a destination of the response through the token network NW1. In response to the reception of the token transferred from a gateway device 10 and destined to a self-terminal, a driver circuit 21, before returning the response to the gateway device 10, transmits a pseudo dummy token to avoid an occurrence of transmission timeout related to the token, to the token network NW1 through the gateway device 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
