<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the power supply unit of electronics which does not actuate a load circuit when a fault arises in the charging circuit even if actuation of the load circuit is independent from actuation of the charging circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply unit of electronics having a circuit for charging a rechargeable battery from an external power source by driving a load circuit from the rechargeable battery or the external power source is improved. The power supply unit of electronics has a power supply switch for turning the connection from the rechargeable battery to the load circuit and the connection from the external power source to the load circuit on/off in response to a designation from the load circuit, and a latch circuit for turning the power supply switch off forcibly when a fault is detected in the charging circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
