PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid development electrophotographic device, which can reduce the heater power consumption by passing the paper only once to print on both sides and shorten the paper transfer path. SOLUTION: The device has a switchback mechanism to reverse the paper to transfer another image to the rear surface after transferring an image to the front surface, and a switch mechanism to switch the paper to the fixing section or to the switchback mechanism, after transferring a toner image to the front surface of the paper. The intermediate transfer component is set to a temperature for softening the resin components dispersed in the carrier solution of the liquid toner. It conveys the paper not to the fixing section, but rather to the switchback mechanism when transferring another image to the rear surface of the paper after transferring an image to the front surface, and fixes both images at the same time in the fixing section after transferring the images to the front and rear surfaces.
