A synthetic, low maintenance bocce court with a surface comprising (a) a force-reduction layer comprising a open or closed cell foam material having a density with Shore A Durometer hardness of about 25 or more; (b) an embedding resin; (c) a bonding layer between the force reduction layer and the embedding resin, wherein the bonding layer comprises a non-woven mesh embedded in a polymer resin and, optionally, fused to a polymer wear layer; (d) elastomeric particles embedded in the embedding resin; and (e) a finish layer over the elastomeric particles and embedding resin; as well as a method of manufacturing same. |
