PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch which reduces generation of noises by suppressing the stick-slip of rollers. SOLUTION: The one-way clutch switches over a locked state for synchronously turning an inner race body 11 and an outer race body 21 concentrically arranged on the outside and the inside in the radial direction, and a free state for relatively turning the inner race body and the outer race body. A plurality of wedgelike spaces are formed between the circumferential counter surfaces of the inner race body 11 and the outer race body 21 at a required interval in the circumference. Rollers 40 of the same number as the plurality of wedgelike spaces are arranged inside the plurality of wedgelike spaces in the state where the rollers 40 and coil springs 45 for individually energizing the respective rollers 40 in the direction for locking the rollers into the wedge shape spaces, are retained in the pockets 34 of a retainer 31. One side surfaces of the opposed surfaces of both end surfaces 41 of the rollers 40 and both side inside wall surfaces 32a of the pockets 34, are provided with contact portions 48 for tiltably holding the rollers 40 in the state where one side surfaces have come into local contact with the other side surfaces.
