<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce different types of coffee on the same machine without involving a diminution in the quality of coffee or without any long waiting times for start-up and calibrating operations. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a coffee machine, whose dispensing unit 13 has a heat generator 14 which is independent of the boiler 17 of the machine, valves 20, 21 for opening and closing the cold water pipe 7 and hot water pipe 8 which supply water to the dispensing unit 13, a temperature sensor 15 which is arranged in the dispensing unit 13 and control means 23 which are connected to the valves 20, 21, the temperature sensor 15 and the heat generator 14 in order to allow the preparation of different types of coffee, even in succession.
