<p>An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for broad spectrum chemical detection. The method includes determining (2301) a similarity sequencing scheme (201). The method includes receiving (2302) an ambient air sample and concentrating (2304) the ambient air sample. The method further includes providing (2306) the concentrated sample to a gas chromatography (GC) column (GC1, GC2), and detecting (2307) chemical elution from the (GC) column in a series of similarity sequenced samples (216) based on the similarity sequencing scheme (201). The method includes de-convoluting (2308) the elution data to derive arrival peaks (226), and determining (2312) a concentration of a chemical in the ambient air based on the series of constant log-time data samples. In one embodiment, the method utilizes a modified Z-transform (218) to de-convolute the elution data.</p> |
