PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tone correction method for correcting tone appropriately for each of features included in satellite image data.SOLUTION: A tone correction method of a tone correction apparatus for correcting tone of satellite image data captured by an artificial satellite includes: storing tone correction processing parameter information formed by registering feature quantity indicating characteristics of a cluster, which is a set of pixels indicating the same feature, in association with tone information of the cluster; classifying the pixels included in the satellite image data into clusters so that the pixels indicating the same feature may belong to the same cluster, on the basis of a pixel value of the satellite image data; calculating feature quantity of the classified clusters; acquiring tone information of a cluster corresponding to the calculated feature quantity by reference to the tone correction processing parameter; and correcting the tone so that the tone information of the cluster where the pixels of the satellite image data are classified may be close to the acquired tone information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
