FIELD: materials.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to curable compositions. Radiation-curable primary coating for optical fibre includes, in uncured state, from 50 % to 65 % by weight of an oligomer composition, including a product of reacting: a) at least one polyether polyol, having molecular weight from 3,500 g/mol to 10,000 g/mol; b) at least one diisocyanate, selected from a group consisting of aromatic diisocyanate, aliphatic diisocyanate and mixtures thereof; c) at least one acrylate or (meth) acrylate with terminal hydroxy groups; and d) alcohol selected from a group including methanol, ethyl alcohol, propanol, butanol, hexanol, octanol; from 30 % to 50 % by weight of a composition of a mixture of active diluent monomers including at least two active diluent monomers, where each of said monomers in said mixture includes at least one phenyl group or phenoxy group and at least one acrylate group, having formula:,where x is an integer from 1 to 6; n is an integer from 1 to 5; and each Y, which can be identical or different, is independently selected from a group consisting of hydrogen, C-Calkyl group and alkarylalkoxylated acrylate radical; and at least one photoinitiator; said active diluent monomer mixture is substantially free of non-aryl active diluent monomers; in which, in case of an aryl active diluent monomer with molecular weight less than about 300, its amount is not more than about 10% of total weight of composition.EFFECT: invention also relates to optical fibres coated with said coating.61 cl, 21 ex |
