The machine has calendar rollers (K1-K4) arranged one behind the other and connected with a drive. The rollers (K2, K4) are provided with openings (L) that are distributed on a circumference of the rollers over its width. The openings disembogue into a cavity (33) within the rollers. A valve (15), conduits (17, 23), a hole and a coupler are provided to connect the cavity (33) with a low pressure source (P). A control unit controls the time interval and/or the suction force of the low pressure produced by the source in the cavity. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a wrapping fixture arrangement comprising a machine for feeding cotton web (2) a method for feeding a cotton web.
