As the implement is drawn forward the scoop 23 is periodically pivoted upwardly and rearwardly leaving "ties" 24 between ridges 25. These ensure that water will not flow down the furrows. The pivoting may be operated by the hydraulic system of a tractor or by a cam 20 which may be driven by the tractor p.t.o. or by land wheels 22 either through a transmission 21 as shown or by mounting the cam directly on the wheel 22. The frame may also carry conventional soil-working tools forward of the scoop 23 or it may be attached to the rear end of conventional implements. |
