The portion capsule (1) has a capsule wall surrounding a closed interior space, where the capsule is formed in a shape of a cuboid or a die. The capsule wall is perforated by closing a brewing chamber of a coffee machine using a perforation element of an injection and/or discharging device for injecting extraction liquid into the capsule under pressure and for discharging an extraction product produced in the interior of the capsule following an extraction process. A holding element, an edge (1.2) and a collar (1.4) are arranged at a distance from surface of the capsule.
