<p>The flue shut-off slide is designed to give positive ventilation of the flue by air when shut. It thus avoids any tendency to rapid sooting etc. It has a port which is opened or shut when it is moved, typically by a segment-shaped piece. This piece is designed to fit against the inside of the flue or slide housing. The slide can be actuated with the aid of a gear track or a spindle assembly.</p> |
