PURPOSE:To incorporate the titled circuit in a chip together with a charge coupling element by manufacturing an analog comparator, a digital shift register and a coder by the same semiconductor process technology as the charge coupling element. CONSTITUTION:Transfer pulses phi1, phi2 are fed respectively to transfer electrodes 1, 2 of the charge coupling element. Floating electrodes 3, 4, 5 are provided between the transfer electrodes and a drain 6 to absorb the signal charge is provided at the end of the transfer electrode pair to constitute a delay line 7 with a terminal as a whole. The signal charge transferred from the direction of arrow 8 is detected by the floating electrodes 3, 4, 5 nondestructively and fed to each signal terminal of analog comparators 9, 10, 11. A reference voltage divided by resistors 12, 13, 14, 15 is fed to a reference voltage terminal of the analog comparators. A digital signal from the analog comparators 9, 10, 11 is fed to digital shift registers 17, 18, 19, and the signal subjected to time adjustment in the registers is inputted to a coder 20, where the signal is converted into binary signals D1, D2 of 2 bits.
